Based on ADAMS, the rigid and flexible models of space-swing mechanism for the Superpave Gyratory Compactor are developed. The analysis and simulation shows the length of cranks, the initial phase of cranks and some assembling accuracy of points are very sensitive for the compaction angle of reaction frame. Bigger rigidity also gives some help to stabilize the change of the compaction angles.
