Excerpt

This paper presents proposed application of gait recognition in airport security, using static body biometric and leg angle information of airline passenger. Gait recognition is more accurate and effective as compared to any other biometric recognition technique. The unique advantage of gait is that it is available at a distance when other biometric are at too low a resolution, or intentionally hidden, as commonly observed in scene-of crime footage. Using static body and leg angle information passengers may be authenticated.
